Audrey Moran Continues to Receive Big Endorsements

Audrey Moran, Republican candidate for mayor, received another prestigious endorsement.  NAIOP of Northeast Florida, the region’s commercial real estate authority and trade association, officially endorsed Moran’s candidacy for Mayor of Jacksonville.

Moran’s “strong commitment to economic development” and her vision for downtown revitalization were key factors in earning the endorsement said Karl Hanson, 2011 president of NAIOP of Northeast Florida.

“I am honored to receive the NAIOP endorsement,” said Moran.  “As mayor, I will make economic development a priority while bringing fiscal responsibility to City Hall.”  Both the NAIOP and JAXBIZ endorsements represent a strong support base for Moran within the business community.

In addition to the business community, Moran announced two more endorsements today; the Sierra Club and the Campus Voice – student newspaper of Florida State College at Jacksonville.  Moran’s broad community support is evidenced by her recent endorsements, and her message of moving Jacksonville forward is resonating with voters all across Jacksonville.

Moran noted that although the three endorsements come from unrelated groups, it is a good indicator of how she has run her campaign.  “When I am mayor, I will be the mayor for every citizen of Jacksonville, not just one particular party or interest group.”  The NAIOP, Sierra Club and Campus Voice endorsements illustrate Moran’s broad appeal and her ability to connect with voters on many levels.

Early voting begins March 7, 2011 and the election is March 22, 2011.
