Duval Tax Collector Changes Office Hours

Duval County Tax Collector Michael Corrigan announced today that office hours for all nine Tax Collector branch locations will change effective Dec. 5, 2011.  The new office hours will be 7:30 a.m. to 5:30 p.m., Monday through Friday.  Current office hours are 7:15 a.m. to 5:45 p.m. The office hours for the Ed Ball Building Satellite Office located at 214 North Hogan St. will remain 7 a.m. to 4 p.m., Monday through Friday.

“This change will improve efficiency in our branches and help to decrease wait times without increasing staff,” Corrigan said. “By slightly reducing the hours of operation, we can increase the number of clerks who are serving customers during the hours we are open and ensure that all customers are served as quickly as possible.”

In addition, many services are available on the Tax Collector website 24-hours per day.  This includes property tax payments, DMV renewals, payment of parking citations and scheduling appointments for certain driver’s license services.  For more information, visit www.coj.net/tc, or call 904-630-1916.
