The Blood Alliance Urges You to Donate Life in 2011

If you did not get what you wished for over the holidays, you may have a second chance -- with your blood donation!  The Blood Alliance invites you to start the New Year with a resolution to save lives and win!  “Resolutions for Life” blood drives will be held from January 10 - 15 at participating donor centers (Bloodmobiles and mobile drives are NOT included).  Donors who attempt to donate and give the gift of life at participating centers will be entered for a daily drawing to win Blu-ray players and a grand prize drawing for a 40-inch HDTV.  Everyone who registers to donate will also be eligible to win a 2010 Smart car from the Smart car Center Jacksonville, A Brumos Company.

Tattoo & Arts Festival

Immersed In Ink announced the arrival of Jacksonville’s most prestigious Alternative Arts Festival to the Wyndham Hotel on January 28-30, 2011. This festival will host some of the nations’ hottest Tattoo Artists and is open to the public for live tattooing, sideshows, human suspension and more. Patrons can enter their tattoos in contests or just come watch artists express themselves in this alternative art medium. In addition to tattoo artists from all over the world, the show will feature many different vendors selling merchandise from clothing to tattoo supplies and beautiful hand crafted art.

Martin Luther King, Jr. Breakfast-January 14, 2011 Tickets on Sale Now!

The City of Jacksonville’s 24th annual Martin Luther King, Jr. Breakfast will be held Friday, Jan. 14 at the Prime Osborn Convention Center.  Registration begins at 7 a.m. and the breakfast and program will begin at 7:30 a.m. Parking is free to attendees.
