Sweet Pete’s Celebrates First Valentine’s Day with Truffle Classes and All Natural Sweets!
Business, Events

Jacksonville’s newest sweet shoppe is offering interactive truffle classes for Valentine’s Day. The truffle classes are taught by Peter Behringer, a locally renowned chocolatier and candy maker.  Peter is more than qualified to teach the magic of chocolate truffle making as he has been in the candy business for twenty years.

Peter was only 12 years old when his parents founded Peterbrooke Chocolatier.  Peter fell in love with chocolate and candy and has honed his craft by attending candy schools throughout the United States.  Peter will teach his students to temper chocolate, shell mold and make the truffle ganache center.  Each student will leave with a ½ pound of decadent truffles he or she made and the truffle recipe.

Peter has had many requests for truffle classes since he opened his all natural candy shoppe in July.   “I am pleasantly surprised by the response to the classes.  My students have all really enjoyed the experience.  The classes are the perfect gift. Many customers have booked classes for Valentine’s weekend and plan to come in as a couple”.

Students over 21 are welcome to bring in wine.  The classes are available throughout the month and gift certificates are available so that the class can be scheduled later in the year.  The classes are $20.00 per person and can be booked by calling Sweet Pete’s at 904-376-7161.

In addition to truffle classes, Sweet Pete’s has a large selection of handmade sweets for Valentine’s Day.  Chocolate covered strawberries are available for pick up and delivery and can be ordered by phone or on the Sweet Pete website www.sweetpete.net.
