The American Lung Association of Northeast Florida is pleased to announce the Third Annual Celebrity Waiter Luncheon, an exclusive fund raising event that will take place at Maggiano’s Little Italy in the St. John’s Town Center Friday, January 14, 2011, beginning at 11:30 a.m.  The luncheonwill feature celebrity waiters, such as Sheriff John Rutherford and State Attorney Angela Corey, serving a lavish lunch to guests, all to benefit the American Lung Association’s (ALA) Fight for Air Climb Jacksonville.

“I’m thrilled Maggiano’s Little Italy is partnering with us on what will be a fantastic afternoon,” said Heather Julin-Pittman, development manager for the American Lung Association and event lead for Fight for Air Climb Jacksonville.  “This is an extraordinary opportunity for Fight for Air Climb Jacksonville team captains and the American Lung Association.”

Fight for Air Climb Jacksonville, a competitive stair climbing event, will be held at the Bank of America Tower downtown Saturday, February 5, 2011.  Over 350 people are already signed up to tackle the 42 floors and 838 steps of the First Coast’s largest tower.  All funds raised from this event will benefit the programs and services the American Lung Association provides in Northeast Florida.

Fight for Air Climb Jacksonville is presented by Wachovia, A Wells Fargo Company.  Other sponsors include Mayo Clinic, the City of Jacksonville, BB&T and the Fraternal Order of Police.
